Install and Configure Jenzabar CX 8.1 for Windows

The installer for CXConnect/Jenzabar/JenczabarCX is located:

\\fileserver\comp\Jenzabar\CXConnect\CX_81\PC\jenzabar_cx81_installer-1_0_3_38.exe

This is the only installer we should use for installing Jenzabar or CX. All others do not work as of 3/13/2023

 

\\fileserver\comp\Java

Double click JavaSetup8u211.exe

If you see a “User Account Control” dialog box, click “Yes”

Click the “Install” button

After the installation finishes, click the “Close” button

Go to Start Menu

Go to Control Panel search for Java might be Java 32.

Open Java

Click on the Security Tab.

Click the “Edit Site List” button

 

Click the “Add” button

Enter http://alf.arbor.edu:9040 in the location field.

Click the OK button

If you get a “Security Warning” dialog box, click the Continue button

 

Click the OK button

Click the OK button

Click on the Start button and select “Control Panel”

Double-click on Windows Firewall

Click the “Change Notification Settings” button

Select “Turn Off Windows Firewall (not recommended)” for Domain network location settings and Home or work (private) network location settings.

Click the “OK” button

 

Click the Run button

If you get a “Warning – Unavailable Version of Java Requested” dialog box, click the Run with the latest version button

If you get a “Windows Security Alert” dialog box, click “Allow Access”

The cx81_config file:

The config file is located:

\\fileserver\comp\Jenzabar\CXConnect\cx_81_config.ini

The  cx81_config file must be located in the c:\user\username\AppData\Roaming\Jenzabar folder as well as C:\ProgramData\Jenzabar folders before launching.
