Microsoft Outlook - Email Signature

Please see instructions below for your specific use case:

Outlook Application on an Apple computer:

  • With the application open click on the main outlook menu from the top bar
  • select preferences
  • In the email row click on the signature icon
  • select the signature you want to work on if one already exists; if none exists click on the + button to add a new signature
  • use the drop down selections at the bottom of this window to set defaults for applying the signature to messages

Outlook Application on Windows Computer:

  • Click on File
  • Select options
  • Click on the mail tab on the left side menu
  • scroll down to the signatures section and click on the Signatures.... button
  • Select the signature you want to edit if one already exists; if none exists click on New to add a new signature
  • Use the drop down selections on the right side of the window to set defaults for when the signature is applied

SAU email using Outlook Web Access on o365 (the access used on Mysau)

  • Click on the settings cog in the upper right of the screen
  • Scroll down to the bottom and click on View all Outlook Settings
  • Click on the Compose and Reply tab in the middle menu
  • Create or edit your signature content in the email signature box
  • use the check boxes under this signature box to set defaults for when the signature is applied

 

Manually adding a signature to a single message:

  • If you did not setup your signature to be added by default in the processes listed above or you want to use an alternate signature in an email you can add it to a single email as needed
  • Start you new message creation with a new draft
  • If there is a default signature you want removed in this instance select it and delete it at this time
  • Click on the signature option from the email message menu bar at the top of the email window (you may need to click on the ... button to see more menu options)
  • Add the signature you want
  • complete you message and send
