Standard or Holiday Greetings for phone trees

Some departments have a phone tree that is used for when people call in for help, some examples are Financial Aid, Helpdesk, and the Admissions phone tree for the campus Switchboard. For breaks and holidays, designated staff members can call in and record a holiday greeting and setup a different message. They can also schedule this to turn on and off automatically for the duration of the break.

To update these settings follow these steps.

1. Call into your departments phone tree (Helpdesk: 1234. Admissions: 1684. Financial Aid: 2900), and press "9" (which is a hidden option) to access the greetings administrator. You can call this from a campus number or from a cell phone.

2. Greetings administrator will prompt you for a few things. Your ID is your 4 digit extension (it uses this as your username). Your "pin" is your voicemail password. This checks to see if you have permission to change the greetings. Then enter the extension that you are calling to adjust. (Helpdesk: 1234. Admissions: 1684. Financial Aid: 2900).

Holiday mode is centrally managed and applies to all phone trees at SAU.

IT defined a schedule for Thanksgiving 2022 through Unity's holiday schedule feature, it will turn on automatically on November 22 at midnight and off on November 27 at midnight.
