Enroll a Mac computer in JAMF

  1. Open Safari
  2. Go to https://springarbor.jamfcloud.com/enroll
  3. Login with the username and password provided by the Help Desk
  4. Click Login
  5. Enter the SAU username of the person to whom you are assigning the machine
    1. For a public machine or a student machine, enter the name of the director of the office where the machine is located.
    2. Enter inventory for a machine going into inventory
  6. Click Enroll
  7. Click Download to download the Self Service installer package called QuickAdd.pkg
  8. Find the downloaded file in the Downloads folder
  9. To open the file, Control+click on it and select Open
  10. You will see a dialog box that reads "QuickAdd.pkg" is from an unidentified developer. Are you sure you want to open it? Click "Open"
  11. Install the application. You will need to enter the administrator password (or the faculty/staff member's password) one time. It may fail on some machines, which is OK.
  12. If you are asked "Do you want to move the 'QuickAdd' Installer to the Trash?" click Move to Trash
  13. Restart the computer.
