When a user opens an Access database in Access 2007, they receive a message saying macros are disabled. Also, when they click any buttons in the application, nothing happens.
Solution:
- Click “Customize Quick Access Toolbar” (the down black arrow at the very top of the screen).
- Choose More Commands.
- On the left, click Trust Center.
- On the right, click the Trust Center Settings button.
- On the left, click Macro Settings.
- In the middle of the screen, choose the Enable all macros.
- Click OK, then OK again.
- Exit Access, using the X in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Re-enter the app and the error should be gone.
WARNING: This enables all macros in Access, even outside of trusted locations. If you would like to enabled macros only for databases on the M drive.
