FERPA is not a service SAU provides, but a law the entire University upholds. FERPA is meant to protect student information, such as Social Security Number, birthday, student ID number, and more. Although FERPA does allow for the dissemination of some information (considered directory information), play it safe and ask a Help Desk staff member before releasing any information concerning a student.
