Setting up a printer at a remote site

  1. Find the name and IP address of the server (see the list)
  2. Open devices and printers
  3. Delete any old printer references
  4. Click add new printer
  5. Click add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer
  6. Click the printer I want wasn't listed
  7. Click add a printer using TCP/IP address  or hostname
  8. Change "Device Type" to TCP/IP Device and add the IP address of the printer
  9. Press next
  10. Unless it was automatically selected, use the model of the printer to choose the driver. If there is not a Universal Driver listed (or UD/UD2) or the specific model number from the printer is not listed then you must download the appropriate firmware from the printer manufactures website. Separate steps for installing drivers from the manufacturers site are at the bottom **Model number for thr printer is on the IP Address page linked above**
  11. Name the printer
  12. Do not share the printer
  13. Print a test page and finish to be sure everything worked

  1. Input the printers model number on the site and download it to the computer
  2. Extract the drivers to the documents folder on the computer
  3. Select "Have Disc" on the driver page
  4. Choose the firmware file in the documents folder
  5. Finish the installation steps listed above
