If you're having issues with Box Drive, follow these steps to reset Box Drive
If any local changes have not successfully saved to Box, please check your unsyncedFiles folder for any unsaved files before proceeding. This folder can be found at:
- Windows: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Box\Box\unsyncedFiles
- macOS: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Box/Box/unsyncedFiles
Reset instructions for Mac:
- Quit Box Drive if it's running
- Open a Terminal Window (Applications Folder -> Terminal)
- Type sudo ./Library/Application Support/Box/clean_box_desktop_artifacts
- Enter your password
- When the script finishes. you can close Terminal
- Re-launch Box Drive from /Applications/Box.app and you will be prompted to login
Reset instructions for Windows:
- Quit Box Drive if it's running
- Double-click on C:\Program Files\Box\Box\clean_box_desktop_artifacts.bat
- Re-launch Box Drive from C:\Program Files\Box\Box\Box.exe and you will be prompted to login
