Resolve login issues and to avoid web browser automatic login attempts

You need to follow all of these steps to resolve login issues and to avoid web browser automatic login attempts using your old password, which will cause your account to be locked.

  1. Make sure you are using your correct username which is displayed when you reset your password. If you are a newer staff/faculty member or a student it will look something like this: 'ab123456'. If you are a staff/faculty member that has been with the university for longer it will be a variation of first and last name. 
  2. Your new password cannot contain two consecutive characters from your first and last name as well as your username. 
  3. Remove your SAU passwords from the following browsers:
    1. Chrome
    2. Firefox
    3. Internet Explorer
    4. Safari
  4. Clear your browser cache
  5. Delete your SAU email account from mobile apps on all devices
  6. Clear your saved password from SAU printers
  7. Reset your MySAU password

If the above steps do not clear your login issues, you can try these steps:

  1. Try using another browser such as Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. 
  2. Uninstall and reinstall your brower
  3. Reset your password using the form on MySAU
    ***After you reset your password wait 15 minutes before you try to log in or change your password***

If you are still unable to login, please submit a support request form.
